Sakib Jalil

Currently Working at: Readify

Course taken:  UX/UI Design Transform

Dr. Sakib Jalil is a human-centred designer and researcher, specialised in behaviour change through Persuasive System Design.

Besides his well-established user research on cancer and type 2 diabetes in the USA and Australia, he felt he was not creating impact. He wanted to be in the fast-paced industry and chose Academy Xi’s UX Transformation course to help him in the transition. He was very fastidious and looked at the course materials of many courses in the USA, Australia, Barcelona and London but chose Academy Xi in Sydney. When he was in his 4th week in UXT in Academy Xi, he was approached by a professor in Harvard to work on UX and obesity.

He recently authored one chapter about UX for the medical field, in a Master’s degree textbook called “Consumer Informatics and Digital Health” by Springer publishers, to be released in the USA in November 2018. In 2017 he was invited at California Congresswoman Doris Matsui’s office to talk about research scientists in California and the future of researchers in the USA. He received the “Medal of Excellence for Doctoral Thesis” in Australia in 2016 and was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California Davis in the USA.
