Pieter has built his career on delivering industry-leading digital product experiences for government, corporates and start-ups across Europe and Asia Pacific. Over the past few years, he has focused on leading user experience strategies for large video on demand platforms encompassing news, sport, and entertainment and in a broader context, with IoT connected (smart) devices.
For Nine, Australia’s largest and fastest growing media company, Pieter leads the team tasked with defining and shaping the User Experience Strategy for the Broadcast Video On Demand (BVOD) platform 9Now, and other initiatives across the digital publishing network. 9Now was Australia’s No.1 BVOD platform in 2018, delivering the leading program, Married at First Sight Season 5, the largest share of BVOD minutes and unique audience of any platform in that space.
Blending his many years’ experience in the end-to-end product delivery process and his deep domain knowledge and expertise in UX, Pieter has a rich understanding of the challenges facing those creating and managing the world-class digital products of today and the innovate digital products of tomorrow.
