6:10pm – 6:30pm: Instructor introduction to User Experience and Service Design

6:30pm – 7:00pm: Panel: A student’s experience from studying UX and Service Design

7:00pm – 7:30pm: Q&A: UX and Service Design student ‘speed dating’;

  • Get a taste of what it’s like to step into UX or Service Design by speaking to one of our past students, and what made them take the leap!

7:30pm – 8:30pm: Workshop: Introduction to Design Thinking

  • Explore the end-to-end iterative development process through Stanford Design School’s, ‘The Wallet Project’


Hee-Won Ham

Industrial Design Graduate | UX Transform Alumni

Hee-Won is an Industrial Design graduate and decided to take the plunge and upskill through Academy Xi’s UX Transform course. Through the course, she believes Academy Xi has taught her more than just the tools in UX Design. She believes that Academy Xi’s supportive and safe environment gave her the confidence as a person, a designer and as a team player. With the support, she feels fully prepared to take on the real world as she makes her move to Singapore to take on the UX Design scene there. Hee-Won is always striving for constant improvement as a designer but also enjoys playing games, photography and a good hike out in the sun.

Annemarie Sia

UX Designer and Researcher at Leo Burnett

Annemarie is a UX Designer and Researcher at Leo Burnett. With a background in Industrial Design, she decided to make the switch to UX after being intrigued by the problem-solving nature of UX. With a focus on empathy, Annemarie is passionate about designing for diversity, and appreciates varying cultures. She looks forward to the ambiguity of experience design how mixed realities will shape our future.

Hayden Peters

Lead UX Design instructor at Academy Xi

Hayden Peters is an Experience Designer and historian, with over 20 years of experience in digital design and innovation. He has mentored and grown teams both locally and internationally across a variety of services and technologies. He is also the Lead UX Design instructor at Academy Xi in Melbourne.
