5:30pm – 6:00pm: Introduction to User Experience and Service Design

6:00pm – 6:30pm: Panel: A student’s experience from studying UX and Service Design

  • Get a taste of what it’s like to step into UX or Service Design by speaking to one of our past students, and what made them take the leap!

6:30pm – 8:30pm: Workshop: Introduction to Design Thinking

  • Explore the end-to-end iterative development process through Stanford Design School’s, ‘The Wallet Project’


Anna Findlay

UX Designer at LPA Lighting

Anna Findlay is a UX Designer and Service Design Mentor with Academy XI. Anna began practicing Service Design techniques to solve customer problems during her successful career in Account and Project Management. Naturally curious and always looking to understand the big picture she decided to make this field her focus. Through completing both the UX Design and Service Design Elevate course’s with Academy XI Anna was able to solidify her knowledge in the practice. Anna has worked with a range of start-ups and is currently introducing Design Thinking to improve customer experience in her role of UX Designer at LPA Lighting.

Fotima Luedtke

Experience Designer at NAB

Fotima is an Experience Designer at NAB working on creating great systems for employees so they can create even better experiences for customers. She studied anthropology at Uni and remained fascinated by the subject long after. Her constant curiosity led her to look into studying UX at Academy XI where, she realised it was the ideal combination of her love of human behaviour, culture and technology.

Sarah Mote

UX designer at Stax

Sarah is a UX designer with an Industrial Design background. She is currently working at Stax, a Melbourne-based startup that helps companies visualise their Amazon Web Services utilisation and compliance.

Sarah is a detail-orientated award-winning designer who has worked internationally for companies like Oral-B as well as domestically for well-known Australian brands like Aronott’s. Sarah is motivated by a desire to solve meaningful and emotive problems while working to create better futures.
