Leadership by Design: Women
18 April 2019
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
The Executive Centre Level 17, Frasers Tower, Singapore
In the business world, the concept of diversity has come into increased focus. Companies are being challenged to increase diversity at all levels, and the rise of human centred design principles being applied across a range of business disciplines is driving the diversity agenda even more.
After all, if we’re not designing for all, then who are we really designing for?
Academy Xi is pleased to welcome a diverse panel of leaders in business, experience and product design to share stories about their current projects, their emergence as leaders in the field, and memorable design case studies. With a particular focus on Women in Leadership, our panelists will reflect on their own experience of how they nurtured their career in the notoriously difficult digital ecosystem.
This event will inspire and educate with stories of success and overcoming adversity and everyone will find the practical advice on how to create inclusion (arguably the first step to achieving diversity) in your workplace or next project sobering.
At Leadership by Design: Women, we will immerse you in a conversation that will explore:
- Intersectionality and its role in today’s leadership landscape,
- How unconscious bias affects everyone,
- The unique traits of women and men in leadership,
- How collaborative leadership shapes organisations for success,
- How to build an inclusive culture beyond demographics.
Don’t miss this thoughtful discussion that will demonstrate how the consideration of everyone’s perspective will lead to a greater experience for all.
