Step forward into the future, and imagine a time where traditional bank accounts are obsolete. ATM’s are housed in museums, framed side by side with credit cards and coins. In this new world how do you barter? Where do you store your “money” to pay for goods and services?

Welcome to the new, decentralised economy. Blockchain is already transforming how humans, machines, corporations and governments interact. Disruption and Innovation are converging to ‘Disruptive Innovation’ and it is only just warming up. This environment is redefining autonomy, democracy and distribution and, in the process, providing substantial opportunities for the aware, and forward-thinking company.

In this Designing for the Blockchain bootcamp:

  • Gain an understanding of the Blockchain Protocol & Application layers
  • Learn about the benefits of what the Blockchain offers
  • Understand the many uses of Blockchain and what this means for you
  • Understand which sectors are using Blockchain and how
  • Learn how to safely and securely trade in Cryptocurrency
  • Learn about ICO, white papers and how and ICO can help you launch a Blockchain startup

This bootcamp is for:

  • UX & UI Designers: you need to understand this new medium and how to design for interactions that are not necessarily visible
  • All Designers and Developers: you’re looking for guidance on how to create design and interaction standards and take advantage of the IxB (Interaction for Blockchain) toolkit
  • Companies who are looking to expand their internal knowledge of Blockchain and how to apply this to your industry
  • Government Executives looking to better understand Blockchain opportunities
  • Entrepreneurs who are looking for ways in which to create profitable, disruptive business opportunities
  • Consultants and Advisors
  • Technology Enthusiasts
  • Anyone looking to take advantage of long term career opportunities now and into the future

Sean Bennett

Sean leads technology at LINCD, a company that has built a blockchain protocol-agnostic accelerator platform that enables developers, startups and corporates to learn, experiment, build, and deploy solutions powered by blockchain.

Alongside my work with LINCD I hold advisory positions across multiple industries including financial services and aged care where I focus on:

  • emerging technologies such as blockchain, smart contracts, chatbots, and machine learning
  • business and systems analysis; readiness for scale
  • solution architecture, API strategy, and product execution
  • startups and business models

I enjoy variety, so I have also created and operate online web applications built on various distributed ledger protocols. Ecliptic, for instance, is aimed at the developer community, allowing users to send, receive and trade digital assets and value in a matter of seconds. The service is available at no cost in order to encourage further development of products and services in that ecosystem.

I hail from New Zealand, now live in Australia, but work with clients, colleagues and collaborators across the globe. Kia ora!

Charbel Zeaiter

Chief Experience Officer | Multidisciplinary Experience Designer

Armed with empathy-driven design and an avid interest in the human elements shaping our future, I’m passionate about creating experiences that solve real problems for real people.

My goals in life are simple: educate and empower people to create positive ripples of change. We created Academy Xi with this unified purpose at the centre of it all.

Academy Xi teaches groups and individuals in areas spanning design and technology, specialising in future-forward and newly emerging disciplines.

We stay on-the-pulse by applying an iterative design process to the creation of Xi’s training and courses. We push the envelope, striving to move beyond traditional education models.

As co-founder, and Xi’s Chief Experience Officer, I seek to build compelling, meaningful, lasting experiences. We take our students and teams to the centre of a deliberate, structured process; where we bridge the gap between doubt and knowingness.
