Event description

According to research, the Virtual (VR) and Augmented (AR) Reality gaming market is expected to be worth approximately $180 billion US dollars by 2022. Yet, despite being commonly associated with the gaming world, the advancement of Extended Reality (XR) technologies have led to much broader applications across a range of different industries.

There are numerous current use cases of AR and VR within the education, health, retail, construction and logistics industries. This has led to a wealth of opportunities for the development of new XR products.

VR and AR aren’t future technologies. They’re right now technologies.

At our event Stepping into the Extended Reality world we’ll discuss how you could take advantage of these opportunities and will also be covering:

Spatial Director at PHORIA

Samuel is a Spatial Director at PHORIA, an immersive technology studio based in Melbourne. Most recently they partnered with Netflix and Our Planet to create an immersive companion experience to the Our Planet series, putting people inside the story to heighten its impact and connection. With partners like Telstra, Google, City of Melbourne and WWF, Phoria has helped define storytelling using spatial computing. Phoria brings characters, data and digital art into people’s worlds using VR, AR and MR, and have had their work demoed at Google I/O.
