Janna is Co-Founder and Principal of Meld Studios. She has over 17 years experience as a researcher and designer in the US and Australia. Her work has focused on humanising products and services, in leadership roles defining the strategic plan and positioning of products and services down to the most detailed of interactions within them. Janna has experience leading in-house design teams, design agencies, and engaging with client teams across C-level leadership, IT, marketing, product management and sales. Janna has had the privilege to lead design work across many industries, designing for both the customer experience and the organisational experience. Janna has been very active in the Interaction Design Association (IxDA), an international organisation dedicated to advancing the discipline of interaction design. She served as President of IxDA’s Board of Directors, as well as the Co-Chair of the global Interaction Awards. Janna received her master’s degree from the University of Chicago with an emphasis in psychology and anthropology, and holds an honour’s Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa.
Tom is a designer from London and the Head of Creative at Landor Sydney.
Throughout his career, Tom has been the happy recipient of a number of design awards – many in the shapes of lions and pencils. Tom’s work has been featured on Visuelle, It’s Nice That and Fast Co.
Tom’s career began at startup agency A+B in London. He helped grow their business, from designing logos and websites for one-man-bands to designing brands, exhibitions, and signage systems for some of the UK’s most sought after clients. These included the BBC, Channel 4, The Science Museum, the Royal Institution of Great Britain and Universal Music.
After moving to Australia in 2012, Tom worked across Interbrand Australia’s Sydney and Melbourne offices for clients such as Telstra, AHM, Opera Australia and he recently completed a rebrand for The Sydney Opera House.
Tom aims to create work that makes the world simpler, funnier, more enjoyable and beautiful.
As Design Director at Imagination he is responsible for leading a team of designers to deliver everything from brand design, environmental design, advertising, product packaging, animation and just about everything else you can imagine.
He has been instrumental in delivering some of Imaginations largest projects and pitches including the Royal Australian Navy Fleet Review, Centenary of Anzac, 1 Denison identity and marketing and is the creative lead in Sydney New Year’s Eve, an event seen by billions worldwide each year.
Amongst that, he was the guitarist for Bluejuice, a music obsessive, avid motorcyclist, keen surfer and thrilled new Dad.
