User Experience (UX) Design is the process of understanding and designing to solve problems in order to create satisfaction. UX solves problems for real people in their real contexts.
Similarly, Service Design looks to determine how to craft exceptional experiences for any digital or physical product through the end-to-end customer journey. Both UX Design and Service Design are therefore inherently human centred.
The backbone of Human-Centred Design encompasses a person’s interaction with any product. It concerns itself with ensuring a user’s needs are met through meaningful designs and solutions. With an expected 10% increase in the demand for UX Designers in the next 5 years and the median mid-level UX Design salary at $105,000 in Australia, there is no time like getting into the field of UX as the present. Likewise, as more industries shine focus on the field of Service Design, demand for the roles have dramatically increased in recent years.
At our free event, together with industry experts, we’ll explore:
- An overview of the Human-Centred Design industry
- How you can start developing your own design portfolio
- Tactics, tools, and approaches to help you get started in the design industry
