Bridging the Gap between Data Visualisation and VR/AR
17 January 2019
6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Academy Xi, 3/45 Exhibition St, Melbourne VIC 3000
Augmented and Virtual Reality technology is profoundly changing the way we visualise and interact with data in immersive, 3D real-world environments.
Despite advancements in the way we experience these dimensions, the tools used to support the visualisation and analysis of these environments is limited.
At our event, Bridging the Gap within Virtual and Augmented Reality, Dr Maxime Cordeil will discuss:
- What ImAxes is, and how this tool uses the 3D space to build and explore multidimensional data
- IATK; a data visualisation toolkit that helps build immersive systems
- What other tools exist in the market to bridge the gaps within VR and AR
- What future opportunities exist in the market and what to look out future
