Women of Wearables, in partnership with Academy Xi, are excited to present an evening of talks covering AI in business, from both the product and development perspective. Women of Wearables is the first global organisation aiming to inspire, support and connect women in wearable tech, fashion tech, smart textiles, IoT, health tech and VR/AR.

The evening will include a variety of talks from experts in the space, with an interactive audience Q&A throughout. So, whether you are exploring AI to support your startup or enterprise, or looking to improve existing AI functions, you will not want to miss out on this eye-opening evening. 

AI business solutions will feature the following talks:

Ima Miri: AI in ecommerce

Ima will cover AI techniques applied to an ecommerce website to simplify user experience and the customer journey.

Magda Griffiths: Do you need an artificial intelligence product strategy?

Magda will share operating principles and frameworks to help you communicate investment into AI products. There will be a healthy dose of skepticism, practical advice, and proven approaches to turn concepts into products.

Jens Pistorius: Using AI to automate invoices and receipt processing


At UiPath, Jens and his team focus on pragmatic AI, or using AI to solve specific customer problems. Jens is excited to talk about how UiPath is using AI to help their customers automate one of the oldest processes in human history: the processing of financial documents, such as invoices and receipts.

Ima Miri

Ima is the founder and technical consultant at Atar Dev, with over 13 years of experience in the tech industry. Ima has worked with various technologies during her career including desktop, web and mobile applications. She has recently focused on artificial intelligence solutions and started working closely with startups.

Magda Griffiths

Magda is an intrapreneurial product manager who has spent over 15 years crafting digital experiences. With a background in design, marketing and publishing, she’s passionate about challenging individuals and corporations to bring great products to life. Her entrepreneurial spirit has lead her to work within innovation teams at Gumtree, News Corp, Ninemsn and FPC Magazines where she’s applied design thinking and lean/agile principles to product development.

Jens Pistorius

Jens is an AI evangelist at UiPath, which is a global leader in robotic process automation. Jens is helping organisations to combine the best of artificial intelligence and robotic process automation to improve workplace experiences, increase productivity and deliver better customer outcomes.
